The HR World visits Bristol Museum and Gallery for a networking event that included a private view of one of the country’s most famous and wonderful paintings.
The HR World’s Spring Networking Event, held in association with our partners Capital Resourcing Group and Maru Search & Consultancy, was a great success, providing a unique setting for some stimulating conversation. Held at the Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, attendees were privileged to benefit from a private view of John Constable’s painting, The Hay Wain, brought to the city from The National Gallery in London as part of the National Treasures: Constable in Bristol “Truth to Nature” exhibition.
Attracting HR professionals and suppliers to the function from across the UK as well as from the locality, this was an opportunity for those attending to take a break, relax and appreciate the work of one of the countries’ greatest artists. Not only was the Hay Wain there to be enjoyed, but the surrounding exhibition examined how the artist had developed both his skills and the image itself – a truly fascinating and inspiring progression.
Against this back-drop and provided with canapés and drinks, the attendees mixed and shared ideas, thoughts and more both about HR, the wider world of work, and the art around them. With no set agenda the atmosphere was convivial and relaxed as colleagues and friends caught up with one another and new friendships and associations were made.
Having the run of the Constable exhibition and some of the larger spaces of the Museum after hours created a very special evening and one which will be remembered by those attending for some time to come.
