The profile of HR has risen in recent years but is it enough to justify a certain place at the top table? The ability to manage and guide workforces through hard times, the provision of welfare as well as reward and recognition, the scope to implement initiatives and contribute to the bottom line have all been crucial in HR’s ascent, yet as of 2022 only three percent of FTSE 100 companies listed a Human Resource Director or Chief People Officer on their board.
The discussions on the evening were led by two invited speakers both of whom have direct experience of the Boardroom and who shared with us their knowledge and experiences. Amanda Rajkumar is an experienced, board level HR practitioner with her most recent role as Adidas’ Executive Board Member overseeing Human Resources, People, and Culture. And Orlagh Hunt a successful HR Director with experience in Retail, FMCG and Financial Services sectors.
The dinner was sponsored by DEKA Outsourcing a team of global talent outsourcing experts.
