People development, businesses learning and developing. Kim is a skilled facilitator and executive coach at board level. As a Fellow of the CIPD, Kim is a regular conference speaker and contributor. She is a mum to three young adults and (with the little spare time available) is a marathon runner, keen foodie and lover of the theatre and art.

An experienced HR Executive and People Director, having worked across the public and private sector in multiple industries and Internationally. Most recently Kim has spent 20 years within Insurance and Banking including AXA, Friends Life and Aviva. More recently Kim’s held senior roles in banking and is currently the Head of HR UK for SMBC Investment Bank.

Kim has a strong record of leading change and delivery of the People proposition, supporting businesses through transformational change. Partnering board teams, Kim has supported the largest Insurance acquisition of Friends Life by Aviva and has led a series of mergers and acquisition programmes.

Kathryn started her professional working life as an actor, before moving into the totally unrelated career of HR. She joined Benefex in October 2014 and now siits on the board, reporting into the CEO, with overall responsibility for people and culture within the business.

She has almost twenty years’ experience working in senior HR roles across a variety of sectors, heading up both HR and operational functions, and with a core focus on change and transformation activities.

David has worked in the staffing, talent management and workforce planning fields for over 20 years, holding a number of both in-house and consultancy roles.

Previous roles include Director of Recruitment Capita, COO Resourcing RBS, International Talent Acquisition Director CH2M HILL and Group Head of Resourcing for AXA’s UK and Ireland operations. He was responsible for both temporary and permanent recruitment covering activity from board to customer service level. His early career was spent in the British Army where he served in the 1st Gulf War and Jungle Warfare Instructor as well as leading the “Flying Gunners”, the Royal Artillery Motorcycle Display Team.

Jyoti has spent 25 years working in global and transformation projects of all shapes and sizes across both corporate and third sector. Her interim experience has seen her be part of many of the UK’s biggest change programmes and brings a huge amount of knowledge in how to deal with and communicate on major organisational shifts in business and people strategy.

Her academic writing includes my research on dynamic careers with resilience capabilities, chaos and uncertainty, Impact on skills from AI & automation; remote working and trust, needs of multi-generational workplaces and hybrid workplaces.

Rob has a broad range of resourcing experience, leading teams and developing strategies from an agency and inhouse perspective. Alongside this resourcing experience he has also led a corporate responsibility team focused on strategic partnerships and driving employer and customer engagement for the world largest Building Society.

His current role is leading the University of Bristol’s employer and community engagement teams, connecting and preparing students for employment and the world of work.

In 2010, the agency world was changing. Clients wanted smaller, more agile, and expert teams who could deliver effective solutions as true partners. Our Managing Partner, John, was aware of that, and wanting to embrace that change and so DNA was born. John feels strongly that working for, and with, DNA should feel different and, in that, champions our strong sense of purpose recognising how our work positively affects businesses and peoples’ lives; those of our team here at DNA, our clients, their staff and their customers.

John set up his first agency in 1989 and before founding DNA, had also been the COO and CEO of TMP Worldwide, Monster.com and Barkers. A thought leader of all things EVP and Employer Brand, John loves to get under the skin of businesses, understand their business and people plans and deliver bespoke strategies to ensure success. John is an integral part in setting the strategy and objectives for our clients and ensuring that the optimum resource is always in place to ensure delivery.

Outside of work, John loves spending time with his family, keeping fit (ish) and eating/drinking an equal amount of the right and wrong things.

Sue Turner OBE

Career snapshot

Sue is dedicated to using her expertise in AI and data governance and ethics to inspire organisations to use AI with wisdom and integrity.  One of the first 14 people globally to be accredited in the Foundations of Independent Audit of AI systems, and with both a Law degree and an MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, she established AI Governance Limited in 2020 to advise businesses and policy makers on pragmatic AI, data ethics and governance issues and making a positive societal impact.

She is Board Chair and Non Executive Director for purpose driven businesses in the logistics and financial services sectors and coaches and mentors leaders.  Her career spans entrepreneurial private businesses and not for profit organisations where she has led significant organisational growth, raised £27 million for charity and collaborated to shift power to help people improve their prospects.  She was awarded the OBE in 2021 for Services to Social Justice.
