A third of workers fear ‘burnout’ next year
04 October 2021 Health and Wellbeing
A third of workers have said they believe they will suffer from burnout at work in 2022, according to a new report.
The study from absence management solutions platform Edays claims that the four in ten (41%) workers saw wellbeing deteriorate during the pandemic.
Most employees feel worse when it comes to wellbeing compared to 2019 but the report states that 42% felt their employers had not encouraged time out to recover from stress.
Alongside this, 27% feel they are more likely to take sick days from work over the next 12 months.
Matt Jenkins, CEO of Edays, said: “It is the responsibility of business leaders to implement the right tools and technologies to monitor both physical and mental health of their workforce and manage absence to promote a positive workplace culture and boost business performance.
“If they don’t, operational, compliance, and reputational risks will ripple rapidly throughout the business.”
